Do clients provide there own cleaning supplies or equipment?
With the exception of a working vacuum cleaner, we provide the equipment and supplies needed to service your home or place of business. Most clients prefer that we use their vacuum cleaner due to allergy control.  If you do not have a vacuum cleaner we can bring one at an extra cost of $6.00 per clean.  Please let us know if we need to bring a vacuum cleaner.

Keeping safety in mind, we can use cleaning products that you prefer if you provide them but will only use products that are not harmful to our team members or damaging to our uniforms.  Please do not provide chemicals or products that may cause damage to surfaces in your home.

How can I pay for the service?
Payment is made on the day of each visit prior to starting the clean.  We request that payment be placed in a sealed envelope outside the communication book we provide.  You may also pay online with a credit card via Paypal.  We do not accept credit card payments in our office directly.  Your credit card information is never provided to us.  All your credit card information is provided by YOU directly to PayPal who will process you payment instantly.

You may leave a cheque payable to Every Little Thing Maid Service, ELT Maid Service or ELTMS on the kitchen table or counter top beside the communication book.  We supply the payment envelopes periodically.

At what time will Maids arrive at my home?
Our Maids clean 2 homes a day.  This is due to the sizes of houses we clean and the attention to details given to cleaning a house or office space.   One in the morning and one in the afternoon.  When booking a regular cleaning day with us we will give you a good idea of when to expect our arrival.  Please contact our office 48 hours in advance regarding changes to your schedule; we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

What if my cleaning falls on a holiday?
If your scheduled cleaning falls on a statutory holiday we will contact you to reschedule or you may leave a note in your communication book.

What if I have vacation plans and do not want to have my home cleaned while I am away?
We always encourage our clients to continue regular services even while on holidays.  Our Team Members only service 2 homes each day, securing stable schedule and hours to help them fulfill their financial commitments is very important to us.  We do not enforce this, but appreciate your consideration regarding this matter.

However, if you have vacation plans and need a temporary cancellation, please call to make arrangements with our office.

Do I have to sign a contract?
You are under no contractual obligation as payment is made at each visit. We would prefer to earn your continued patronage based on our ability to meet your needs rather than based on a contractual relationship.

Who will clean my home?
Your home will usually be cleaned by a team of two fully trained Maids plus or including a Quality Team Member or Trainer will be on site to assist in ensuring the quality and standard which sets us apart. All staff is uniformed, insured and bonded.  Sometimes new employees will be onsite for training in some homes.

Do I have to do anything before the cleaning?
Other Maid Services require the home owner to tidy the night before they service the home.  Please don't feel obligated to do so.  Our only request is that pots and dishes are washed.

Who has access to the keys to my home?
Currently, the owners of the maid service are the only ones who have access to your keys and security codes.  We are at your home to open and close after every clean.  In the future we will have to allow the Team Leaders limited access to the keys.  We will let you know when and who and your permission is always necessary.

Who do I contact if I want something extra done or if I want to change or cancel my cleaning?
Please contact our office, writing it in the communication book with enough time for us to be aware, or send an email using the 'Contact Us' link on the home page giving at least 48 hours notice of your requirements.

What if something gets broken when my home is cleaned?
We treat your home with the greatest care; however, should an accident or breakage occur while we are in your home, we will contact you as soon as possible and we will make every effort to have the item repaired or replaced.
